I learned about the dedication of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to not only provide leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease and myeloma patients and their families with the support they need to live — but to provide a novice athlete like me with the training and resources I need to do what I once thought was impossible. I realized that my challenge was nothing compared to the challenge thousands of people affected by these diseases face everyday.

I have committed to raise money to support The Society while training to complete the Treasure Island Triathlon in November 3, 2001. I am confident that this experience will not only make a difference in my life, but in the lives of many others.
